The Four C’s of Co-working

Co-working is not a new concept, nor is it a fleeting craze. Last year, flexible work spaces made up over 20% of all commercial office leases in central London. This trend is not confined to the capital either; take-up of flexible work spaces in cities outside London increased 275% from 2016 to 2017.

Building Information Modelling requirements

We are seeing an increased adoption of BIM (Building Information Modelling) in the projects we are advising on across the private sector. Beware all landowners! Be careful not to inadvertently grant a public right of way over your land.

The very real risk of an owner of land allowing rights of access over their land and then these leading to a dedicated public right of way was recently highlighted in the case of R v Cumbria County Council and Peter Lamb EWHC 2651. It is therefore worth considering how the local authorities assess whether a public right of way has been established, to hopefully prevent landowners from suffering from this potential incumbrance on their land.

Clarkslegal has successfully undertaken several substantial internationally branded hospitality asset dispositions on our behalf and acquisition of a major internationally branded hotel.  Their attention to detail and bringing together specialist individuals from within the firm in order to successfully conclude the transactions has ensured successful and effective completion on all transactions.”
