I have worked in private practice for over 16 years and have extensive experience of a broad range of commercial property transactions. I joined Clarkslegal LLP as a Partner in July 2019, and prior to this I worked at a full-service law firm in High Wycombe acting for a wide range of clients including Commercial landlords, property developers, pension funds, lenders, charities and retail occupiers.
My past experience includes an in-house role in local government handling a range of commercial property transactions and whilst practicing as a solicitor I have also lectured at the University of Westminster where I taught a Commercial Property elective and Property Law and Practice on the Legal Practice Course.
Specialties: Recent transactions have included the acquisition of a new London office for a US Financial Technology Company, an auction sale of a multi-occupied mixed use property, the purchase and refinancing of a development site with planning consent for 9 units, an agreement for lease and lease conditional on tenants works, various 1954 Act lease renewals, the conditional purchase of a listed building subject to planning consent and the surrender and simultaneous re-grant of a commercial lease conditional on planning. I am also experienced in providing property support on corporate transactions.
Commercial property work is frequently fast-paced. I am always keen to ensure that every transaction is handled thoroughly and with attention to detail, while still retaining a commercial approach to ensure the client’s needs are met within the timescale required.
