If you are a Turkish national and you wish to work or start a business in the UK, you should consider your options of applying for a Turkish Worker or Turkish Businessperson visa.
The Ankara Agreement which the UK became bound by in 1973, allows Turkish nationals to establish themselves as a worker or business person in the UK and this route, after a certain period of time could lead to settlement.
The Turkish Worker visa is available to those who have worked in the UK for at least a year while they held a spouse, work permit or student visa. This route also allows your family members to apply for leave to remain on the basis of your visa.
The second route is that of a Turkish Businessperson which is suitable for those who wish to start a new business in the UK or come to the UK to help run an established business. You can bring your dependents with you and settle after a certain period of time.
