04 January 2010 #Public Sector
Public Sector Partner Kirstin Parker recently sat on the panel to launch the CBI`s new report "Public Services that don`t cost the earth: designing and delivering in partnership".
The panel chair was Susan Anderson, Director of Public Services and Skills at the CBI and other panel members were Stuart Davies, the Managing Director of Serco Integrated Services and the Business Commissioner for the Sustainable Development Commission, Keith Sexton, the Group Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Director at Amey and William Jordan, the Chief Sustainability Officer at the Office of Government and Commerce.
There was an interesting debate which covered areas of good practice and the way that public sector and private sector organisations can work together. As a follow up from this CBI is arranging a member round table with the Treasury`s value for money team to discuss whole life costings and the fact that they should be the prime economic determinate in any procurement. Kirstin has been invited to be involved in this engagement.
