Government focus on flexibility

16 July 2010 #Employment

The Government is apparently planning to encourage employers to allow staff to work more flexibly in order to ease the transport congestion and held employees achieve a better work-life belance.

Reports suggest that employers will introduce rewards for employers who embrace flexible work patterns, such as allowing employees to work from home one day every fortnight.  Train companies could also be persuaded to evaluate how they issue season tickets, to take account of those who work part of the week at home.
