Clarkslegal Celebrates International Women`s Day

12 March 2013 #Clarkslegal

Every year, all over the globe on March 8th, International Women`s Day is celebrated. Countless events take place, not just on this day but throughout the month to mark the economic, political and social achievements of women.

Clarkslegal’s London office kicked off the celebrations of International Women’s Day on Friday afternoon by inviting female clients and friends of the firm to afternoon tea, in Covent Garden’s, BB Bakery. The ladies very much enjoyed sipping tea and sharing some petit fours, while listening to our inspiring guest speaker Sandra Mcleod, Group CEO of Echo Research. Sandra spoke of the struggles of being a working mum and how you have to work hard to get to where you want to go.

While the Reading office indulged in a Beauty Evening at John Lewis. We are very grateful to John Lewis who hosted this event in their private Beauty Retreat, pampering our female guests with mini beauty treatments and canapés.

The Beauty Evening was also are being held to raise awareness of our nominated charities, which for our centenary year are Alexander Devine’s Children’s Hospice, Contact the Elderly and Cardiff Foodbank. John Lewis were very generous in donating a luxury hamper of products, which was raffled during the evening to raise money for our chosen charities.

Clarkslegal would like to thank all those who attended, who helped us to support International Women’s Day and our nominated charities.
