09 August 2012 #Clarkslegal
Members of our Cardiff office took time out of their weekend recently, to help one of our 2012 nominated charities, Cardiff Foodbank, with a supermarket collection.
Such collections involve supporters of Cardiff Foodbank asking shoppers to donate an item of food during their supermarket visit. These collections are a huge source of food for Cardiff Foodbank, who has just completed their second full year of providing Cardiff residents with emergency food supplies.
Cardiff Foodbank is a source of emergency aid for those suffering financial hardship and who are facing the reality of being unable to feed themselves or their families. During June, Cardiff Foodbank fed 301 adults and 138 children in crisis and during the past three months has fed 175% more adults and 148% more children than over the same period in 2011.
Our staff helped collect over 500kg of food on Saturday 28th July and will next help a Cardiff Foodbank collection on Saturday September 8th.
