Clarkslegal were proud to be a Corporate Partner at the CBI Thames Valley & South East Annual Dinner on Thursday 18th October, at Reading Town Hall.
Over 150 guests attended the fascinating evening, which explored the theme of diversity and inclusivity as a competitive advantage. CBI Director-General, Carolyn Fairbairn, updated delegates on CBI’s latest activities, lobbying work and engagement with Government.
Followed by Alex Depledge, Founder, Resi.co.uk and Andrea Delay, Head of Large Corporate South, Barclays, who addressed the strategies firms can adopt in their organisation to become more diverse and inclusive. While looking at the impact this has on how an organisation is viewed by customers, staff and the future workforce. Our own employment team at Clarkslegal is regularly supporting businesses with diversity training and audits and will inputting into the CBI discussions with government on its proposed ethnic pay gap reporting, announced last week.
