Businesses work together to support local artists and charities

09 June 2014 #Clarkslegal

Thank you to those who attended our charity drinks and art exhibition in Reading on Thursday 5th June.

We were delighted with the attendance and support in raising profile and donations for our three nominated charities, Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, Contact the Elderly and Cardiff Foodbank.

The event was hosted alongside Business Biscotti Gold at CircleReading Hospital’s award winning Art Scope Gallery, where guests were treated to a private exhibition showcasing the work of local artists.

The Art Scope Gallery, which has been established to provide a therapeutic environment for CircleReading’s patients, is also dedicated to raising money for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service and generously donated 30% of all sales from the Clarkslegal and Business Biscotti Gold event to the charity.

Community fundraiser Julia Philipson explained why it is so important for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service to raise its profile among the Thames Valley’s corporate community:

“It was an honour for us to be able to address the guests at this wonderful event in the beautiful surroundings of the Art Scope Gallery at CircleReading. We are so thankful for the unwavering support of Clarkslegal LLP and for all the opportunities they are able to give us like this one and to Business Biscotti Gold and Art Scope for their great collaboration and support.”

Please find below photographs from the event.
