11 April 2011 #Employment
The Government has launched its `Red Tape Challenge` website via which it invites business and the public to vote on what legislation should be scrapped.
Every few weeks the legislation regarding a specific industry sector will be published on the website. The public then have the chance to vote on what we think should be scrapped. The Government promises to "get rid of unnecessary red tape" based on our feedback.
The current `red tape challenge` is retail and comments can be made about this until 5 May. On 6 May hospitality, food and drink will move into the spotlight.
The full list of sectors and appropriate dates can be found on the website here: http://www.redtapechallenge.cabinetoffice.gov.uk/home/index/
Comments can be made on general regulations affecting all sectors throughout the process- including employment and health and safety.
