A club-based collaboration platform for entrepreneurs and SMEs, Business Biscotti Gold, has been formally launched in the Thames Valley by the Mayor of Wokingham Borough Council, Councillor Ulla Karin Clark, with Clarkslegal chosen to provide expert legal support to members.
Business Biscotti Gold is a new club-based collaboration platform. All clubs are run by Business Biscotti Gold members, for members. Members set their own Agendas. The emphasis is on ambitious individuals in business – inspiring, innovative leaders and entrepreneurs.
The network has been launched as a pilot scheme in the Thames Valley by local entrepreneurs and Business Biscotti founders Sue and Graham Reeves, who have ambitious plans to replicate the nationwide success of Business Biscotti.
Co-founder Sue Reeves explained that “Business Biscotti Gold is a totally new concept in corporate collaboration. It’s about growth and development, aspiration and innovation. We bring people together in clubs to foster cross engagement, communication and discovery. Building on the success of Business Biscotti – which now has over 50,000 SME’s attending events across the UK, Business Biscotti Gold provides the framework and architecture to support the growth of Gold Clubs.”
As part of the membership package, Clarkslegal will offer a full range of commercial advice and host expert forums. Employment Associate Emma Griffiths is already confirmed to present a SWOT analysis for businesses on the bring your own device to work trend at a technology forum on 6 December. Members will also have access to exclusive benefits including Employmentbuddy, our leading online HR platform, online support in the areas of commercial and technology law through an Expert Forum and HR telephone helpline support provided through our new collaboration with Carillion Advice Services (CAS).
Sue Reeves explained the flexibility of Clarkslegal’s blended services with CAS was particularly of benefit to meet the individual needs of Biscotti Gold members: “We are delighted that Clarkslegal and CAS are offering a flexible level of expert support direct to our members - whether that is by telephone, online or face to face.”
Clarkslegal’s Head of Commercial and Technology John Warchus, who will be providing online support for Business Biscotti Gold members in relation to commercial and technology law issues, explained why Clarkslegal are excited to work with Biscotti Gold on this new venture:
“Business Biscotti Gold is a great opportunity for us to be involved with Thames Valley’s entrepreneurs and vibrant SME community. Biscotti Gold fits in with the innovative culture of Clarkslegal in that we help businesses through new channels, as we have already done with many high-growth companies in recent years through our Forbury Investment Network and Forbury Business Club. We’re delighted to be part of Biscotti Gold and also working alongside Carillion Advice Services with whom we already have an excellent relationship, supporting clients nationwide in a cost-effective manner. I am sure that Business Biscotti Gold will grow rapidly across the country, just as Business Biscotti has.”
